It is essential that the order of installation is 
  MiKTeX 2.7 > Ghostscript 8.63 > GSview 4.9 > TeXnicCenter v1.0

Please download the following programs in a directory called (e.g. DOWNLOAD)

 MiKTeX v2.7 from http://miktex.org/2.7/setup
 Ghostscript v8.63 from http://pages.cs.wisc.edu/~ghost/doc/GPL/gpl863.htm
 GSview v4.9 from http://pages.cs.wisc.edu/~ghost/gsview/get49.htm
 TeXnicCenter (stabel release candidate 1.0) from http://www.texniccenter.org/resources/downloads/29

** GSview 4.9 will only work with Ghostscript 7.03 (or above) **
