One approach to this goal has been made at the University of Ulm. A
team of computer scientists (Matthias Grabert and Peter Merkle),
physicians (R. W. Holl and Eberhard Heinze), and statisticians (Josef
Högel and Wilhelm Gaus) started to write a program called
DPV
. The program should provide data for
researchers, help local medical doctors to implement better quality
control of their treatments, and finally help them to speed up
repetitive standard work, like writing reports to other hospitals or
physicians.
