First, the share of patients having eye damages is
determined, the worse eye of each patient is used only. For each year
and each quarter, only those patients are counted, who got their eyes
examined. All diagnoses which are represented by a key
of three, four, or five
have to be taken into the first group of
eye damages. The second and more severe group is identified by a key
between six and eleven. Those
integer values are saved in the
database fields aug_dia_r and
aug_dia_l in the table
progression (verlauf).
Next, for each year and each quarter, the share of patients having a mildly or extremely increased entry urin_album in the table ualbumin is determined. Only patients who are at least eleven years old are taken into account for this statistic. To determine the patient's age , the field date of birth (geb_dat) from the table diabetik is needed.
