We are investigating models that can be used to practically model graphical user interfaces and to generate as much as possible of them. It is obvious that it will not be possible to generate everything. Thus, a clear separation between generated and added code is necessary. One first approach has already been proposed and developed jointly with eXXcellent solutions gmbh, Ulm. Another work is currently ongoing jointly with Wieland-Werke AG, Ulm. Furthermore, we are currently working on how to integrate the graphical user interfaces of heterogeneous information systems. We want to propose models, conditions, components, and a generation method in order to allow for the simple model-driven integration of various systems. This work is a joint project with DaimlerChrysler Research & Technology, Ulm.
